Russ Taff
In 1987, I was to enter the most intense shredding season of my entire life ever, which was to last 7 years. During this time, I discovered Russ Taff as a solo artist with his album simply called "Russ Taff."
Such a uniquely rich and amazing voice, songs and music ministered to me in a fiery way. Then again in 1991, still in the midst of my desert I found Russ's new album "Under Their Influence." Containing meaningful songs from a tradition that never grows old, they hit me like a bolt of lightning, while also safely carrying my heart cries with arms of tenderness, grace and mercy. Gracefully, Russ agreed to share two of those very inspiring songs with us on Soaking.Net: "Were You There" and "God's Unchanging Hand." (Here ->). Thank you Russ!
Terri is a newcomer to Soaking.Net, but not to the Throne room. A worshipful pianist, her musical language has grown in the hidden place of intimacy with God.
She shares a free song with us Lifting The Bridal Veil.

I had the privilege of meeting Fred Kaplan online through Soaking.Net. Fred is an young old bluesman from California (a walking encyclopedia on the blues) who shares his understanding and experience of God's heart for the broken through what he calls "vertical music"
through his unique new album "TRIAGE" (solo piano). You can find his music within our playlist, as well as on his website at www.fredkaplanmusic.com.
Steven Burgess also released a new instrumental album titled PATIENCE (solo piano).
You can find his music within our playlist, as well as on his website at www.aquadio.com.
Christine Jeanville

Christine wrote me a few years ago, a passionate lover of God from France, and from a distance we have ministered together as she sometimes uses some of my music to speak out a dance. Where I cannot go, she carries some of these sounds with her to other countries. What a blessing! Here she improvises on a song where God encourages us not to give up... Dancing "Don't Give Up"
For about a month now, we've been sharing two of author's Wayne Jacobsen's books he offers freely for the encouragement and edification of all who are on a serious journey with God, and may wrestle
with various issues concerning God's love for them. Two major books that will not leave you cold!
![]() Laura Rhinehart has released a new album of spontaneous prophetic songs titled SOAKING JOURNEYS (recorded live). You will find her inspiring and healing music within our playlist, as well as on her website at www.thesoakingroom.com. While you are there, take a look at their "soak-a-friend" feature... :O)

On May 16, 2009, Jon Bauer will be the guest worship artist at Michael W. Smith's concert in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The concert will be held on behalf of
the Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools. More info here.
Jon has a solid and deeply respected track record of authentic and vibrant worship leading, and hails from our own province, Alberta, Canada (now serving as Worship Arts Associate at St. Albert Alliance Church, north of Edmonton). Cathy Mart has a new instrumental CD since late last year, titled "Releasing The Dove."
Anyone who has a need to soak on a rich and tender instrumental music wave, this album will take you there. You may even revisit times of brokenness that will be mended through the song of God's heart through the music... You can hear Cathy on our featured playlists. Her website is @ www.cathymartmusic.com.
As you have probably discovered, many of our artists are involved in serving others fulfill their God-given destiny, to be loved by the Father and shine in their generation. Mark Burlinson (song At His Feet) and his wife Jane have a passion to see people healed and walk with maturity in the Lord.
God called them out of Shiloh Place where they ministered, to start a new ministry called Releasers of Destiny. You can read some of Mark's articles
here. They will definitely help you realign your vision on things pertaining to freedom and maturity.
Of note for guitar enthousiasts, an early summer retreat with master guitarist John Doan. John is a believer who has uniquely mastered antique and strange-looking guitars (21-strings or 3-necks quitars anyone?) some of which haven't been heard for centuries before.
His reputation has crossed continents and he certainly loves to pass on to others the knowledge and experience he has acquired. In early June of this year, he and his wife, Deirdra, will hold a second harp guitar retreat:
This June 12th-14th, 2009 there will be the second annual harp guitar retreat at the Oregon home of John and Deirdra Doan. It is an intimate stress-free environment with all levels of players encouraged and accepted for an educational seminar. The event emphasizes instruction and inspiration for those wanting to improve their harp guitar playing skills in a hands-on environment. Instruction will address playing harp guitars with sub-basses only as well as harp guitars with sub-basses and super-trebles. There will be several harp guitars available to use if you don't have a harp guitar or would have trouble bringing one to the seminar. There will be private and group lessons, intimate concerts, and lots of kick back and practice time to suit your interests. For more informations, visit John's website at www.johndoan.com. Take time to also listen to audio clips of John playing a few historical instruments.
BLESSING
"May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and gave us, by his grace, encouragement eternal and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word."
